Max played happy agility all weekend and got his first advanced standard leg with a 3rd place. As well as another Master Jumpers leg and 4th place in Performance Grand Prix...just 2 days after his 7th birthday. Bash had a tough weekend, still getting over a frisbee injury and tummy troubles, he got 2nd place in Master Snooker but didn't get to play much all weekend. The adventure continued, on the trip home Sunday night with car trouble on the I-84 and an extended stay in SE Oregon for repairs.

July 16-18, CAT, Vancouver, WA: The NW Super Regional...was hothothot...lots of great competition, our first DAM tournament, and lots of good agility! Max earns an advanced gamblers leg and is 2 legs away from his AAD. He places 4th in Performance National Standard Regional Round 1. Bash gets his first Masters Gamblers leg, his first Masters Jumpers leg and gets to round 2 in the GP and qualifies both times. Steeplechase and the DAM were tough on the little guy with his shoulder injury rearing its ugly head again and making it tough for him to weave. We had a fun 3 dog relay with Em meeting up with Bash in a tunnel. Last but not least...Em went off course in the GP round 1 but made up for it by playing great Team Gamblers and Team Standard.

August 14-15, WAG, Brownsville, OR: Max qualifies in Masters Jumpers. It was a phenomenal run especially after he skidded off the table in his standard run the day before and sat out the rest of that day. Always the crowd pleaser, he had to do his famous jump over the tunnel maneuver in his Performance National Standard Local Qualifier run. What a sweetheart! Bash qualifies in Masters Pairs but has a tough weekend with his injury still an issue. 3 more standard runs for his MAD! On the up-side he did decide to start swimming! Em had a tough weekend, swam way too much in the river at the trial site then shredded the heck out of both her stopper pads running on the scorched grounds and had to be pulled.

September 28-29, A Rover Runs Through It, Missoula, MT: Max earns his Jumpers Master title with a first place. And a 2005 Performance National Standard Championships Local Qualifier leg with a first place. Emily earns another Master Snooker leg with a 1st Place. Bash earns another Master Team leg with a 2nd place and a Master Snooker leg with a 1st place.

October 9-10, RAT, Auburn, WA: Bash earns his first Masters Standard leg with a 1st place! And his first Super Q with a 2nd place! As well as a team relay leg and a jumpers leg. Em got to run the combo class as well and earned a double Q with a first place. They all got to play on the new rubber surface contacts and loved it. Jury's still out on how much we liked the combo class...either way the change is coming our way...and the dogs still enjoyed themselves playing the game! So we're in!

OTHER AGILITY

We're still in Intermediate in CKC...but didn't get to make any CKC trials in 2003 so most likely won't be able to make any in 2004. We still plan on getting out to try some AKC...but have no idea how to make that happen until 2005. There's also a chance to try CPE this year...we'll see if we can make it.
